3 month update

here is jaxson's 3 month update

eating: every 3 to 4 hrs 4.5 oz of soy formula with 1 tsp of rice cereal..that is helping with his spit up issue

sleeping: sleeps thru out the day 1 to 2 hr naps, and has now started sleeping thru the nigh..goes to bed around 1030 or 1100 and sleeps until 530 or 630.

activities; he is more awake during the day..he likes being in his bouncer he swats at his toys that hang from there, he still likes his swing but gets mad cause he can't get to the toys that hang they are too high up. he is smiling on demand now..so if we talk to him eh will smile it's really cute..he is cooing alot more. he is becoming such a cute little boy, i can say that now..he is going to be a sweet little one.

weight and height i am not sure about, because we don't go to the doctor this month, he has an apointment schedule for july 15th, but i know he has gained weight because his face is much fuller and he is starting to get little rolls on his thighs, and he feels heavier..i would say 9 maybe 10 lbs, and he is probaly 22 or 23 inches long. more to come later.

i made it

i am now a third class petty officer in the us navy..i made e-4...in the navy to advance to e-4 thru e-6 you have to take a test. and i passed it and i got frocked today..i got my crows put on..the silver birds that are on my collar and the one that's on my cover. now it's back to hitting the books and studying for the second class exam next september

almost 3 months

jaxson will be 3 months old on the 15th can't believe it, it has gone by fast. he is become so much fun now, he is more alert. he is starting to smile alot more and coo, and he just started swating at his toys that hang from his bouncer, and he is trying to laugh when we tickle him..it is so cute. here are some pictures and a video of him swating at his toys enjoy!!

going to have to start making some hard decisions..

so dustin and i are both up for orders..dustin in novemeber, and me in april. dustin got orders to san diego, and i will be getting orders there also..that's a good thing cause we will be both stationed in san diego..the bad thing is that we both will be going on deployments. so we have to leave jaxson behind with his grandma lela because she will be the closes relative..and yes mom i know you won't be to happy about that, but it's better that jaxson stays in san diego so when dustin is in port or i am we can easily see him. i would love to have him in arizona but thats so far away for me not to be able to see him for two years. it breaks my heart knowing that for the next two years i will be like a memory to him coming and going. i am greatfull for the year i will get to spend with him but that's not enough. i wish i had waited 4 yrs to have him..don't get me wrong i love him so much, but being in the navy makes it so much harder to be the mom i want to be to him. and i hope someday he will understand and forgive me for missing out on two years of his life. but i know heavenly father put him in mine and dustin's life for a reason..still trying to figure that one out. i just hope there is away for me to be able to stay on shore with him..i will be praying up a storm...please keep me in your prayers too that some way this will all work out, one way or another..

still alive

we are still alive..just havent had much to blog about..i am not back at work..argh..i work every other weekend and between 12 and 16 hr days which makes for a very tired mommy. but things have gotten interesting well last week i found out i made e-4, which i am very excited about. and now dustin is looking for orders cause he is up to transfer in november, so right now he will be transfering in november and might go on deployment to afganhanstan in deceber..we arent for sure yet. but i am up for orders in march and the navy may try and stick us both on deployments which is a bad thing cause of jaxson. but i am going to try and talk to my navy career counsleor and see what can be done about me staying on shore and dustin going on deployment, and if i can i am going to transfer to san diego that way i am closer to family while dustin would be on deployment. it will be hard if he does leave, but that's the way the cookie crumbles. jaxson is feeling better after being sick for a week, he is now back up to 4 ozs every 3 to 4 hrs. he is starting to smile and coo alot more and is so cute. i love getting smiles out of him that's the best part about being a mom is seeig that cute little smile. i am not sure how much he weighs i will find out july 15 when he goes in for his 4 month appointment. man he will be 3 months on the 15th time has gone by fast.

trip to the hospital

so dustin and i ended up taking jaxson to the hospital last night..because he had been throwing up since friday night...and not spit up i mean throwing up..feed him and he would throw up everything he would eat. we gave him some pedialyte but he threw that up. so off to the hospital we went...for a six hour stay to have the doctor tell us he has a stomach bug..lovely. today he has done a little bit better still throwing up..but not as bad only cause he hasn't been eating very much..he wants to eat but it hasn't been very much..only cause he hasn't been feeling very good. i will be taking him to see his doctor tomorrow on base for the throwing up..diahrrea(sp) and he has a rash all over..poor guy..picture is of him in a hospital gown they have us to put him in...it was the smallest size they had and he was still drowning in it..he is so little but he put on a brave face, when we were waiting in the er he was cooing and smiling even though he wasn't feeling very good.

jaxson 2 month update prt 2

took jaxson to the doctor today he now weighs 7 lbs 12 oz and is 21.5 inches long. the doctor is still concern about his weight cause he is below the curve they use, but he has been spitting up alot. we did have him on a formula for spit up, but that wasn't working, so i have switch him to a soy formula and that seems to be helping. so hopefully that works and he starts to gain more weight. he is now up to 4 ozs for feedings. if he keeps it down than i usually try and keep giving him 4 oz but when he would spit up alot, i would take it down so he would keep some down. but now that he is on soy, i think i will try and give him 4 oz at every feeding. he got three shots today, two in one leg and one in the other, and they have him a vaccine oraly..i wish all his vaccines could be like that, would make it so much eaiser on him and me. so because of his shot..he hasn't been feeling very good today. luckily i don't work tomorrow, yeah i started back to work today and it was really hard leaving him at the sitter. but i am back to a 5 and 2 schedule, work every other weekend, so this week, i work today, but i would have had today and tomorrow off, and work wed, thur, and frid morning, and have saturday and sunday off, and than the week after that, work mon and tue, wed morning, and have the rest of wed and thur off and work that week, so it switches every week. it's okay, the only bad thing is that i have to be to work at 430 in the morning certain mornings and i don't get off untl 630 that night..exhausting and bad schedule for a new mom..but the navy doesn't really care...oh well got to do what i got to do, until i get out....thats all for now, got to go feed jaxson.
